Recommended Guidelines
for Divisions and Clubs
A Division is for high achievers. It is
open to those who are highly competitive and wish to be in the running for the
International Team(s) representing Northwestern District. A division has
2 Clubs in it: Club 300 and Club Full
Material. All the reference material
for A division comes from “Club 300” during the regular season and is cumulative.
Any quizzer who learns all 300 specific verses and recites them to a listener
throughout the year AND completes the recitation of 30 of these verses
(10 Quote & 20 FTV) from a pool of the 300 verses “drawn from a hat”, will
be eligible for a Certificate &/or gift at the end of the year. The
Top 15 quizzers in A are eligible to try out for the international team at
year’s end (provided they meet age & other requirements) and those quizzers
would do well to join Club Full Material
at the beginning of the year. A
Division Teams continue to quiz 3 times at each meet.
Club Full Material
is exactly
that…Learning every verse of every chapter in our year’s material and reciting
them word perfectly to a specific listener, approved by your coach. You
need to recite an entire chapter in one sitting and may use up to six “helps”
to do this. One “help” is considered a
5 word phrase (and may not be split up into semi-helps). Your listener must be looking at the text
while listening (NIV) and follow the guidelines before signing.
FOR LISTENERS:
You must look at the text (NIV) while a quizzer says his/her
verses. It must be recited word perfectly
to you before you sign. Please read
section on Club Full Material regarding “helps”.
